Lets divide to unite

Today, we are aware that we are facing a catastrophic disaster in the form of deadly COVID 19 virus, globally which has infected more than 3 lac people and its going to have unprecedented effect on our lives and economy in the days to come.
The figures of those infected are increasing at alarming rate, not only across the world, but in India as well. As per the data in MOHFW site, the count of reported cases in india has increased almost 350% in last 7 days, from 75 to 322 as on today.(https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:https://mohfw.gov.in/)
As the next few weeks would be extremely crucial to stop this epidemic, we as individuals should take all precautions possible. And the major precaution should be Social Distancing, at least till 31st March, which is voluntarily isolating yourself completely. (https://www.mohfw.gov.in/pdf/SocialDistancingAdvisorybyMOHFW.pdf)
  • Cancel everything – stop all outdoor activity
  • Try to remain indoors
  • Make as minimal contact with outside as possible
  • Ask the support staffs to not to come and provide them all assistance.
  • It will not only save us, but save others as well as this disease is not airborne, but spreads through touch.

Our respected PM in his speech on 19th March has repeatedly mentioned the need of isolation to stop the spread of this deadly epidemic. As we enter stage 3 of transmission I,e localized transmission, which is cases without any documented exposure to an infected person, the next few weeks are extremely critical to us and the only way to stop would be through compulsory “Social Distancing” and ‘self isolation’. This is the time for us to act as responsible citizens and help the government in the cumulative fight against COVID 19.
In these distressful times, I would also like to urge all my fellow citizens to support wholeheartedly the efforts of our prime minister by observing the junta curfew on 22nd march, 2020.
Together we will be able to overcome this crisis by breaking the chain of infection. I pray to god for the safety and good health of all. Let’s divide to unite in our fight against Novel corona epidemic.
Stay at home.Stay wellStay safeStay healthy.
My best wishes to all my fellow citizens.

  3. Very nice post and very articulate and focused messaging. With cases increasing by the day, the need to practice social distancing is more pronounced and relevant even in next 2 to 3 more months. This is a long global battle against an unseen enemy which has brought mankind to screaming halt.
    Stay safe
    Best wishes
